Not all Christians like the Sources of the Pentateuch theory. Finding a credible, unopinionated source was difficult. Campbell sticks to what facts are available and puts them into an organized layout allowing the reader to draw his/her own conclusions. This book helped me understand the theory better for seminary Old Testament classes.
