This is an amazing story, but in my view could be written a lot better. It's perhaps a shame that the author chose to write it himself rather than tell his story to a professional writer - it should be a massive Hollywood movie, but sadly I don't think this story will ever get the attention it deserves. This book is a factual telling of the escape but completely ignored characters and emotion. It's a bit of a miss

An adventure into freedom.
From captivity in Nazi Germany to leading the largest successful escape of WW2.
Edwardian writing style, great story.
