Fascinating and informative...an easy to understand scientific look at the moon's influence on whitetail behavior. Wildlife enthusiasts as well as some non-hunters may even find this interesting. The focus is on whitetails of the north, but there is some discussion of whitetail rutting behavior in the south. I hope that the author will someday follow up with a book featuring the many dynamics of southern hunting as related to the moon. There's also a chapter devoted to photographing deer in action. Highly recommended!!

This is a great piece of non-fiction, written by a local Western NY author. I especially like (and use) the author's charts for determining the dates of peak rut activity during a given calendar year.
