About the author

Sujatha was the allonym of the Tamil author S. Rangarajan, Author of over 100 novels, 250 short stories, ten books on science, ten stage plays, and a slim volume of poems. He was one of the most popular authors in Tamil literature, and a regular contributor to topical columns in Tamil periodicals such as Ananda Vikatan, Kumudam and Kalki. He had a wide readership, and served for a brief period as the editor of Kumudam, and has also written screenplays and dialogues for several Tamil movies.

As an engineer, he supervised the design and production of the electronic voting machine (EVM) during his tenure at Bharat Electronics Limited (BEL), a machine which is currently used in elections throughout India. As an author he inspired many authors, including Balakumaran, Madhan.

20 வருடங்களுக்கு முன்னால் எழுதப்பட்ட இன்றைய சமுதாயத்துக்கான கதை. Immature pregnancy, aids, drugs இதெல்லாம் பத்தி சுஜாதா தவிர வேற யாராலையும் பொட்டுல அறைஞ்ச மாதிரி டீல் பண்ண முடியாது.

அகல்யா, ரகு, நதிரா, பிரமோத், சீனு உள்ளிட்டவர்கள் இன்றைய மாணவ சமுதாயத்தின் பிம்பங்கள். தவறுகளையே தவறாக செய்து சிக்கலில் மாட்டும் கதாபாத்திரங்கள். கதையின் முடிவில் வயதுக்கு மீறிய முதிர்ச்சியோடு தோன்றுகின்றன கதாபாத்திரங்கள். பாரதியின் காக்கை சிறகினிலே பாட்டிலிருந்து தீண்டும் இன்பம் என்று தலைப்பை கொண்டுவந்தது சுவாரசியம்.

Unplanned pregnant ஆன 17 வயது பெண்ணுக்கு இரண்டு தீர்வு முன்வைக்கப்படுகிறது 1. Abortion or 2. Delivery. அந்தப்பெண் இரண்டாம் option ஐ தேர்வு செய்வதில் கதை நகர்கிறது....

Only Sujatha can handle such a complicated subject in a good flow with clear solution.

The book discusses about unplanned pregnancy,aids and even love at some point!!!! Certainly a page turner. Our emotions keeps on changing from one to another.we feel pity,frustrated,helpless and might cry at some point. Excellent writing by Sujatha!!!

The book talks about the social issues of the current generation. Teen pregnancy is something which is coming into existence in our country. While reading this book I was able to relate the issues with the present world and could see the forthcoming consequences.
A good book, worth reading it.

The book talks about a subject that's well suited for today's generation.
Unplanned pregnancies, STDs etc.

A sensitive subject but beautifully written and presented to the readers.

A very simple story of a girl who gets pregnant during her college days. To understand what she went through, go ahead and grab a copy of the book.

அகல்யா. மறக்கமுடியாத பெண்களுக்குடைய பொதுவான குணம் கொண்ட பெண். அகல்யா என்று பெயர் கொண்டாலே பிரச்னை தான் என்று கதையில் எங்கோ வருகிறது. உண்மை தானோ என்னவோ :)

இப்படி ஒரு கதை களத்தை இருபது ஆண்டுகளுக்கு முன் சுஜாதாவால் மட்டுமே எழுத முடியும் என தோன்றுகிறது.

"Theendum Inbam"- Superb work by Thalaivar "Sujatha". "Unwanted Curiosity gives a hell" is a core concept. Kind of lesson for all. The natural handling of the characters always makes us feel Sujatha is the master. The charater "Agalya" will live in our heart once after we complete the book. Value and history human birth post sex has been explained in detail and simple way. It should be really appreciated if there are centers like "Pro-Life" as in this story.
