An important and under-explored topic. A ton of respect for Gov. Dukakis. But this book doesn’t work well on its own. It’s probably a great supplement to a syllabus but, standing alone, the balance between excerpts from the interviews and observations from the authors just doesn’t quite add up to something compelling.
