Ritchie Perry (born 1942) is a British writer of spy and adventure crime fiction. He has also written novels under the name John Allen, as well as a book on Brazil and some books for children. He lives in King's Lynn, Norfolk, England, where he writes and teaches school.
This--the fifth time around for Philis of SR (2)--finds the British operative honeymooning in Norway where his bride Olga is rudely abducted. Naturally, it's anything but a simple snatch. Philis has to do some KGB dirty work--i.e, liquidate a Soviet defector and help crack a fellow agent--to effect his wife's release. About as effortless as unscrewing a silencer.
