I thought this was a great book. It is very straight-foward and helpful for the shorthand beginner. The only issue I have with it is the reading practice answers end once you get a little further into the book. (If you closely read the chapters, you should have no problem).

As far as learning shorthand in 2015 goes, I feel it still serves many purposes from everyday note taking, drafting papers before typing them, or even (if you drag another person with you as you learn shorthand) writing secret
