I thoroughly enjoyed this book the first time I read it a decade ago. I especially remember his whimsical style of pure joy as he describes our new creation birth in Jesus. Also his interpretation of Abraham and Isaac on the mountain and Jesus as the star. It was the first time I had ever heard this story as a picture of Grace; previously, it was always told as a story of trust and self effort. It was great to revisit this book ten years later and still enjoy it so much for similar reasons.

By far the second most impacting book i have read in the last 2 years. (Mystical Union by John Crowder is the 1st) The simplicity of Dunn's writings covers the gospel story in a mind-shifting way that will possibly challenge your understanding of Christianity, Jesus and Salvation. Dunn paints the gospel in it's true beauty and leaves you with that which is too-good-to-be-true: union with a happy God.

Easy to read. A wonderful proclamation of the Gospel -the great news - of Jesus' finished work on the cross. Benjamin Dunn has a very contagious joy that drips from these pages.

Dunn provides a great overview pointing to the goodness of the gospel. While I disagree with his perspective of the atonement (I think it's even happier than he puts it) I love the joy and happiness that flows from his rendition of what the truly good news does to and through us. Check it out.

I cannot recommend this book enough. It is crucial to the growth, understanding, development, and impact of the Church. Benjamin Dunn has presented a beautiful work of truth in abundance in these pages. It would do believers well (and subsequently affect the world) for all of us to consume this book, then dive into the scriptures to see everything written by Dunn backed up... then to feast on the majestic truths of grace and the New Covenant, which are the happy Gospel. I was edified, uplifted, and challenged by his words, and I'm excited to walk in the joy and boldness that they inspire within. Do yourself a big favor: read this book.

Well written and in a refreshing manner. This is great read, a challenge as to what Christianity should, or could look like and I know and have seen it personally in the author.

It's got some great information in it but I wasn't a fan of his writing style. I thought Mystical Union was a much better theological presentation.
