This book was alright (but then again what do you expect for a dollar?); it had some pretty good tidbits about many ancient civilizations but basically this is a very condensed version of an Encyclopedia... think clif-notes-esque. It's still very informative, chock full of pictures and even some trivia, but it does leave the reader wanting more. This is basically an appetizer book to whet your appetite for more knowledge...which in essence, isn't really a bad thing.

This little book was very small. I wonder what good it would really do except for maybe a doctor's office. It does brush the surface of many ancient civilizations. Just way too brief. Stick with Wikipedia.
