For some reason I thought of architecture when I saw this book. I'm taking a trip to Amsterdam soon and thought it would be nice to study the buildings and Bridges and whatnot. Yeah, that's not what this book is about. That being said, it's still very enjoyable. I don't understand graphic design AT ALL and I still enjoyed it. I only rates it down one star because you can't really understand half of the book without being part of the Amsterdam culture - there are too many "inside jokes" a common reader can't understand. Other than that, this was a lovely read and very interesting view of a side of Amsterdam I never would have considered.
