Re-rading this childhood book as an adult, I'm disappointed with the careless depiction of inaccurate details and, more importantly, the absence of the Gospel where it ought to be most prominent. No mention of sin and Christ's role as the ultimate Passover lamb. Discerning parents will need to add the key points themselves.
