Options Demystified explains the mechanics of options trading clearly, but the subject itself didn’t resonate with me. While the book succeeds in simplifying a complex topic, I found little real-world value in mastering a system that feels more speculative than productive. It’s well-written for its niche, but not aligned with the kind of investing or business principles I value.

It does give you the information you need for the most part, but it's really hard to get through. I tried it because it was in stores, so I could get it immediately but am definitely a bigger fan of the for Dummies series

The book was good in many ways, but the author seemed to digress occasionally. There are things covered like spreads and such, but only with a very cursory glance. The book could have been better, but it was still a good introduction to options.
