The book is made up of quick little stories most of them only a couple of pages, that's great for reading in snippets. I wasn't crazy about the writing style, however.

Really read this bit by bit over a month. Each story is only a few pages long but interesting reading. A fun book to pick up and put down multiple times.

Interesting reading
This is a good read, the stories are about real people, what they faced, and what they did in response. Their suffering, the triumphs and tragedies. This is not a dry read history book but a tale of many stories that range from tragic to uplifting.

Very in formative stories about hero's and decision makers during one of the most difficult time America went through. Men and women stepped forward and did their duty

Great to have on shelf for students who have forgotten books

Taken from books, more than one about Hitler surviving close shaves only to kill millions later. Early Patton years. Sad tales too.
