This was one of the earlier Discovery Graphic Novels and didn't have as much scientific info as the later volume on Great Whites but is still an entertaining read. There are more species of sharks that have attacked humans than I thought, but at guess at some point probably every species has attacked a person, it just wasn't recorded. The book is not bad, but if you live your life without having read it, or even seen it, it is doubtful that yo

I am so glad that Discovery Channel is making nonfiction graphic novels- there is definitely a market out there and it is smart to jump on it.

I am pretty fascinated with sharks and am always looking for new books for me and my students- this one will definitely be added to my classroom.

I enjoy how the book is set up- it is a graphic novel that is filled with diagrams, scientific facts, narrative nonfiction, traditional literature and geograp
I learned about some new sharks, so that was interesting. the art in this one is probably the best of all three I read (Megalodon and Great White Sharks were the others) and a decent overview of the animal. I was confused about the Whitetip's "attack file" which listed its recorded attacks as 8 and "unprovoked fatalities" as zero. And the we proceed to read a story about a passenger ship that got torpedoes in WW2 where several hundred people died, many of them from sharks. Something's not being ...more
