Numbers from Nature: Designed for the Way Babies Learn

Experts in child development agree that simple is better when introducing babies to basic concepts.  Numbers from Nature embraces a clean design, using bright colors and bold, familiar images from nature to teach the numbers 1 through 10 to the youngest of readers.  Each number is introduced with large, bold text and is reinforced with examples that babies can point to.  One fat, furry guinea pig sits on the "number 1" page, as four juicy pears illustrate the "number 4".  Each spread features photography that nearly pops off the page, set against solid-colored backgrounds with minimal art and text to engage babies rather than overwhelm them.  The padded covers are squeezable and the board pages are sturdy enough for chubby hands to turn.  The book has been carefully read by a pediatric psychologist.
