Yuki Suetsugu (末次 由紀 Suetsugu Yuki, born September 8, 1975) is a Japanese manga artist. Her career was put on hiatus after she was discovered of being accountable for plagiarism, including tracing. She later resumed her work on March 2007.

She debuted in 1992 in Kodansha's Nakayoshi magazine with Taiyō no Romance. Her works later moved to Bessatsu Friend magazine, also published by Kodansha.

On 2009-03-24, her work Chihayafuru was chosen for the Manga Taishō.

voy un quinto y un cachito mas de la historia y hasta ahora me sorprendió más que para bien. no tenía muchas expectativas y fui retrasando el leerlo tal vez porque era muy largo, o porque no tenía tanto tiempo como para involucrarme al 100% en el manga y me arrepiento muchísimo. No solo es un shojo muy bueno hasta ahora con todos los condimentos, el triángulo amoroso, el amor a distancia, found family, etc, sino que es un spokon excepcional. podes sentir la tensión, el esfuerzo, la frustración de todos los personajes de una manera que sinceramente, y con lo mucho que odio comparar obras, no había sentido desde haikyuu.
tengo muchas expectativas para lo que está por venir y muchas ganas de saber como sigue la historia y de terminar por ver a chihaya siendo reina del karuta

Even tho Arata doesn’t like team matches this volume was good. I love seeing growth for the cast, the newbies are a fun addition to the club. I love how Chihaya’s mother is noticing her now (even if it’s only because the oldest is losing passion). Chihaya showing growth with the wind instrument club was nice. The pacing is odd cause it can slow down and then out of nowhere a time skip happens for a couple months but I’m digging it.

ugh 5 stars. results of the tournament, which had me completely locked in. interested to see how chihaya’s skill improves seeing as how she still is such an excellent player. in fact, all the teammates are improving. i especially loved the familial and school support for the team. romance update in this volume and it’s clear who’s into who. chihaya’s sister may play a larger role as the series progresses. love the explanation of chihayafuru/chihayaburu and araburu

And of course, I love how Arata and all of Chihaya's karuta club members are all improving in areas they are lacking. Stories like these are what made me addicted to keep reading - the characters aren't stagnant!

P/S: I love how karuta is the main element, and friendship - and then there's a slight hint of romance going on.

Now this has been a rematch I have been waiting on and it delivered! The tension was high, so was my investment and there so many excellent and gorgeous panels in this one. It all came together in a powerful narrative.
(And Chihaya's parents are finally stepping up.)

they lost to hokuo but i cant help but be glad. the fact that jt was such a close match just proves how much theyve grown as a team. also seeing how ambitious chihaya is compared to the others is awe-inspiring, her passion for playing in a team is so strong and she doesnt let it get in the way of her individual strengths. however as ive said in previous volumes, she has SOOOO much more room for growth and you can tell that she is definitely on her way there but she isnt just quite there.
