This play was recommended to me as a thriller, with plot twists, and theatrical surprises. It has those things but it is also completely creepy because of the misogynistic characters and theme of incest. I wouldn't even consider producing this play in 2021. It is touted as one of the most frequently produced plays in Canada. Really? Yuck.

Unless I read the wrong version, this was not a comedic horror play. The next door neighbor provides comic relief but this play was dark AF. Murder, Mental breakdowns, gaslighting, incest, ghosts, and blood. The parts in the show would require range and physicality and the technical aspects would be impressive.

I liked this play. Spooky. Perfect to do in October.
