Belinda hates her house by the river, and as a terrible storm approaches, she wishes that she and her mother lived in town, safe from the rising waters, until she begins to understand that her house is fortified by family and loving memories.
Belinda, a young girl who lives in a house by the river that she fears may flood with the storms, ask her mother why they can't move to a house in the town. Her mother always answers that their house will protect them. It's a strong, special house. When the storm comes and does it's worst, Belinda's mother is proven right; the house holds up under serious pressure.
