Belinda, a young girl who lives in a house by the river that she fears may flood with the storms, ask her mother why they can't move to a house in the town. Her mother always answers that their house will protect them. It's a strong, special house. When the storm comes and does it's worst, Belinda's mother is proven right; the house holds up under serious pressure.
