(Faber Piano Adventures ). Book C of the Fabers' young beginner method continues the staff-reading adventure with the introduction of skips (3rds). Students first explore skips aurally and kinesthetically across the full range of the keyboard. A delightful variety of songs follow which carefully and comfortably guide the child toward line-line and space-space staff recognition. The audio for Book C offers a unique listening experience with outstanding orchestrations and vocals. The recordings demonstrate a key principle of the when children listen, sing, tap, and move to their piano music, they play more musically. Audio is accessed online using the unique code inside the book and can be streamed or downloaded. The audio files include PLAYBACK+, a multi-functional audio player that allows you to slow down audio without changing pitch, set loop points, change keys, and pan left or right. CD not included, Audio is accessed online.

This book is great for sight reading and teaching students how to play with a backing track.
It is aimed at 4-6 year olds but I've used it with children up to age 8. They still find the songs very cute, but they move through the books quickly. That's not a bad thing as it fuels that sense they can make music.
