More than 2000 former residents of Boys Town fought in WW11 to the Persian Gulf war. This is their story thru letters from the wars and letters and conversations on how they became residents of Boys Town.
This is a really good story on Boys Town and the former residents.

As always, Renault knows how to live her subject. Arguably my favorite book of all time--except for "Catcher in the Rye"
