My mother's favorite poet was Helen Steiner Rice. As part of a daily devotional I read one or two poems in honor of my mother. It had been a gift to me. The poems truly reflect spiritual thoughts and ideals, good and bad that we all have. It is a great enhancer for any devotional. One that I will continue to follow through.
