Good and concise info, easy to read, but honestly wish the photos were ALL in color so I could see what the author was talking about in some instances.

The book covers all types of manuscripts from all over Europe and a large timeline, so it does jump around a bit, but very informative and easy to read.

A real coffee table book this. But it is a pleasure to read and look at. I loved the illustration by Bourdichon of the Annunciation from about 1500.
