I found this book to be very helpful with a lot of practical advice. I appreciated that Lougheed listed a number of nature-based activities with a sensitivity and understanding of the need to also care for the natural environment. This was also the book that let me know about the Toledo Ecotourism Association (TEA), where I had a wonderful stay while supporting the local economy.
Overall, a great book to learn more about visiting this beautiful country

The best part of the book are the chaptors on history, geography, cimate and culture. When it comes down to activities and destinations, the descriptions are too brief. Also, a disclaimer, I only read about the places I knew I will be visiting.
