The first original story based on the TV series has the Tomorrow People facing a strange problem - an alien spaceship has landed on the Earth, but for some reason they can't contact the pilot. It has landed in Scotland, and the authorities hasten to take charge of the ship, and anyone who may be aboard. It's a race against time - with the possible destruction of the human race on hand.

A light but well-written book, with some nice plot twists. It's by far the best of the books based on the original incarnation of the series.

Two sit down must views when I was a child were Dr Who and The Tomorrow People. Filling the void after Ace of Wands - The Tomorrow People was also an avid read for me so i re read this book purely out of nostalgia as it was one at the time around 1974 I hadn't read.
Although by todays standards it is extremely tame I did enjoy revisiting the old characters
Note to 10 year old self "Read this you'll love it"

Time to move on to Blakes 7

The Tomorrow People was one of my absolute favourite shows back in the 1970s, I did have a couple of books too, but not this one. This is based on one of the early shows with John, Carol, Kenny and Stephen having ‘broken out’. The Tomorrow People are an evolved race of humans, they can teleport, have telepathy and can use telekinesis but most importantly they are peaceful and do not use violence. They are a new race of Earthlings for the future.
This story involves an alien child who disobeyed his dad and ended up on Earth, the Tomorrow People need to get him back home, whilst staying under the radar themselves.
A nice gentle story and a great reminder of my favourite show as a child. (On a side note, I have had an ear worm of the theme tune all day).

The Tomorrow People was a British children's SF series in the mid-Seventies. young people at around puberty came into certain powers. They called it "breaking out." They could teleport, called jaunting, short distances, mind read, and use telekinesis. they were the next evolution of humans. They were also part of the Galactic Federation, a group of alien intelligences. They helped the humans set up a base under London and build TIM. an A.I. who guarded and programmed belts that allowed them to jaunt thousands of light years in an instant.

Four are in this book: John, Stephen, the main pair throughout the series, and Carol and Kenny. New members were brought in now and again and the extras were described as traveling through the Federation.

here, a misguided space ship accidentally launched from a neighboring galaxy arrives on Earth. An alien boy is onboard and the new people must rescue him from British forces and get him home. And keep their secret as well.

Obviously written for young adults.Still enjoyable.
