First off, I love the older versions of Scooby-Doo! I do not like the new modern versions that are available on Netflix, etc, due to the fact that I believe they are too mature for young viewers. Back when I was growing up we were able to watch/read Scooby-Doo with no fear of coming in contact with sexually explicit content; however, when my four year-old son was watching the newer versions my husband and I had to shut it down quick.

With all of that being said, I would just like to thank the authors and writers of the original Scooby-Doo, they made my childhood and now my children's childhoods amazing with learning that even when things are scary we can all conquer our fears. At an early age, we can all learn that with great friends anything is possible. I love reading Scooby-Doo to my children, and I recommend the original Scooby-Doo to everyone, everywhere.

I have loved Scooby Doo for decades. It is a treat to share Shaggy and Scooby with my five year old son. He loves the funny way Scooby talks and the interesting words Shaggy uses. My one year old baby really enjoys looking at books like this which have such bright, vivid illustration. Don’t expect great suspense for the adult in this plot. But does that really matter? This book is number 30 in a series. Something tells me I’ll be locating more of these in the future.

Classic Scooby Doo

This is another fun book in the Scooby-Doo! Readers series. It's short, with lots of colorful illustrations and the mystery is not very scary. It also features a familiar "monster" from the television episodes we so love. We all love Scooby-Doo, so these books are a particular favorite at storytime. We enjoyed reading this story together.

This early reader follows the Scooby gang as they go to a carnival. A "creep" is terrorizing the carnival, trying to scare people away. The gang, as they do, set about finding out who is behind the campaign. And, as they do, they find out in a slapstick, highly improbable way.

Fans of the TV series, like my son, will love this book. Long time fans will smile when a certain catchphrase is used.

This is a level 2 reader, and stays true to the old fashion Scooby Doo's. Has just enough action to make it interesting but not to much to make it super scarey for a young listener. The Illustrations are perfect to hold a listeners attention.

This story takes place at a fair (carnival) to would expose children to various fun activities that is at a fair.

This has the whole gang in it and no one is a main character. We love Scooby Doo and this book is awesome.
