Solid collection of thirty-four tales of murder and suspense. Not a bad read in the bunch, though a special gem is Link and Levinson’s original short story that served as the pilot of TV’s Columbo. Highlights also include tales by Robert Block, Lawrence Block, Lawrence Treat, and Donald E. Westlake, the latter of which was my personal favorite of the lot.
