She'd just gone into labor......seven weeks early! Now Dr. Lily Wescott was the proud mother of twin baby girls. But she couldn't have done it without Mitch Cortega. The decorated combat surgeon was with her every step of the way. And the young widow was finding it awfully hard to resist Mitch's overpowering masculinity....
Spending time with Lily and her infant daughters was making Mitch yearn for something he'd never known was missing. The wounded combat surgeon knew they both needed time to heal.
But how much longer could they fight their attraction? With Christmas just around the corner, it was time to move on and trust in a love that could transform the past into a future filled with the true joy of giving!

I really enjoyed this book. Lily is a Dr and she is having twins. She has lost her husband and now she has to take care of them herself. She is having a hard time coping with two at a time but she will manage it just fine.
Her husband before he died asked his best friend to look out after Lily for him if something happened to him. Mitch is doing his best to do that.
Will these two find love or will he remain just a friend helping out his old friend by keeping his promise to him
"An excellent story about learning to release the past and move into the present and image the future. I'm glad that the story involved slowly over time instead of instantaneously. Because of the various issues there was no quick and easy fix. The author, Karen Rose Smith dealt with the issues in a very realistic and sensitive manner." Twins Under His Tree is a beautiful second chance love story for a young widow with new born twin daughters and the wounded doctor that has been with her through delivery and helped her with the stress of going through birth alone. The love they feel is strong and true in this wonderful Christmas story.
This novel for me was super slow. It kept going forward and then two steps back but that was mostly the heroines fault. I thought the ending was sweet but I felt as if the novel was lacking for emotion.
