Got me to the gym. The plan is quite unique and something can always use. What I really admired however was the mindset he instills. Basically one of not giving any excuses and being centred and focused on the goal. Fascinating how you find yourself thinking and behaving differently a month or so in.

The hard bit, was the diet (prepping the food) and convincing the people around that would stick to it. Social life takes a beating unfortunately. But worthwhile as regardless of where you stand, 3 months in, you will find yourself being stronger and healthier, physically as well as mentally.

Went through the very strict diet and super intense training for 84 days this time last year. I lost 12 pounds of fat, gained muscles, strength and more confidence lifting.

The awesome part about this book is that I can flip through it from time to time to look at the transformations of so many people. These people were previously sluggish, fat and eating junk all day everyday.

They managed to shed 100's of pounds of pure fat through proper nutrition - whole foods as opposed to easy to fix from a box or fast-food restaurants coupled with sheer determination at the gym 5 - 6 days/week.

If you are looking for a lose-weight-quick-book, this is not it.

I actually followed the 12 weeks training videos from bodybuilding.com... Yes the diet is strict and a bit bold, but again,it all comes down to "how bad do you want it". I recommend giving the book a read but following the program from the website.

Social motivation is the primary driver for exercise and eating changes according to the author. While social motivation may be the solution for many, lasting motivation must be found internally. The BodySpace social network that was created and promoted in this book no longer exists! This book wasn’t for me. BODY FOR LIFE by Bill Phillips is still the best book for physical transformation in my opinion.

Good, Sound advice. However, his actual diet plan can get very restricting, limiting your body from some of the nutrients it really needs, although I guess that is why it is a 12-week plan and not a lifetime.

I enjoyed the information part of this book as well as the exercise portion. It dedicates a large part to motivation which was really good. The diet in this book was way too strict, sometimes I have to eat bad food!

Pretty much a sales pitch for his website that is supposedly completely free. I didn't check it out but I'm guessing there is plenty to purchase there. There are a few helpful tips that made perusing worthwhile.
