Recommends it for: women who like romance novels

Picked this up off the free shelf at the library so I had nothing to lose by adding it to my stack of books to read. Since it has a Christmas theme I decided to finally get around to reading it. This is not my usual genre (romance) but it was okay - fairly clean which I appreciated. I liked "A Bright Red Ribbon" the best and found myself skimming the others. I found "Twelfth Night" to be too "blah" for my taste and would say that one is my least favorite. I'll be passing this book onto a neighbo ...more

These five very different stories are republished together in the one book entitled "Five Golden Rings"

The time frame and location of each book is very different from the other five.

Even though it is not Christmas time, I really did enjoy reading these short books. Each one is a page turner.

I only read the 3 historical romances. I really enjoyed the stories by Kat Martin and Brenda Joyce. I wish publishers didn't group contemporary and historical romances together as I have no interest in the contemporary ones.

Another book for the Christmas in July challenge. Not my favorite genre, but should be a quick read.

Good reading, 5 separate books. Each one different enough to be interesting.

I only read the Brenda Joyce story, The Miracle. It was the follow up to her book After Innocence- which I loved. This short-story was just, blah.

This is a series of short stories that all take place at Christmas time. The stories are good, but some are a bit graphic.

Fern Michaels isn’t a person. I’m not sure she’s an entity either since an entity is something with separate existence. Fern Michaels® is what I DO. Me, Mary Ruth Kuczkir. Growing up in Hastings, Pennsylvania, I was called Ruth. I became Mary when I entered the business world where first names were the order of the day.
