The photography is lovely. Some of the recipes did actually make me hungry, and I would consider trying some of them. But this book presents itself as a practical solution - just look in the pantry or the fridge, and voila! here's four different ways to make dinner - and I don't agree with that. Many of the recipes in here required some rather unusual items (in addition to the particular featured food of each section), such as duck breasts, passionfruit, and pancetta - none of which are staple items in my house, or even easy to find where I live. Granted, one can substitute ingredients which are more readily available, but that somewhat defeats the declared purpose of the book.
