I love these books, in general. This one, as the title suggests, is more challenging than his other "regular" I Spy books, but it's still fun for all ages, I think. Plus, two kids can play "I spy" with each page amongst themselves, so it would provide endless entertainment. I like the additional challenges at the end where there is an additional poem and you have to guess which page it goes with. My 21-mo-old really liked it, even though he couldn't find most of what was expected, he just liked pointing out objects he knows the names of, or particularly likes. (like cars)

A collection of seek-n-find pages with a variety of themed collages.

Some of the pages in here are from other I Spy books, it just challenges you to find different items. I read this and did the puzzles with my 7 year old niece. She asked to skip the “creepy” page (looks like a scene in a haunted house) which I was happy to oblige. It took us a while to do all the puzzles, and there were still a couple items we never found. These things still are providing entertainment for youngsters decades later, and good exercise for kids with visual acuity issues.

Not my favorite search and find pictures.

My toddler is a visual learner and loves all of the I Spy books. She always has one or two checked out from the library. They have been great vocabulary builders for her because there are so many items in the pictures that I would not otherwise think to show her. I do not usually read the text to her. We enjoy talking about what she sees, or I will randomly choose things to tell her I spy, and she looks for them. Sometimes, we will look for the items listed in the text together.
