What a sweet literature cake for my birthday!!! Rucker and Dinah are an example of an awesome couple to me. Why are they awesome and cool and adorable? It's just that no matter what, they love, trust and care about each other. I read this work without thinking about anything, just reading I saw poignant pictures of love and torture. This means every scene, every sentence in this book is sooo right ! Also, Deborah Smith can easily create foreplay scenes that make me shiver. Which means I will choose her work again for my next reading.

Rucker and his wife Dinah are deep in love. They are in Florida on vacation. She goes to the store and never comes back. He has been looking for her. A friend of theirs is in the CIA and Jeopard has found her in a country called Surador. She is working for a bad guy, Valdivia, who works for the Russians. Rucker goes down and sees her in the town square. He doesn't understand what she is doing. He wants her back but she tells him that she is finished with him. A few days later, Dinah and Valdivia to the US to work their final mission. He gets spooked and throws her out of the hotel and she only has a nightgown on. He throws her his fur coat and tells her he will meet her in New Orleans where the mission is to be completed.
She makes her way to Rucker for help. They go on an adventure. Dinah needs to get the mission finished and Rucker needs to forgive her but not until she tells him the truth.

I do not recall reading this author before but I enjoyed this story. The love between Rucker and Dinah was immense.
