aka
Sue-Ellen Welfonder & Allie Mackay

Sue-Ellen MacDuffie was born and raided in Florida. She is a card-carrying Scotophile whose burning wish to make frequent (free) trips to the land of her dreams led her to a twenty year career with the airlines. Bi-lingual, she flew international all those years, working her flights as foreign language speaker. Her flying career allowed her to see the world, but it was always to Scotland that she returned.

Now a full-time writer, she’s quick to admit that she much prefers wielding a pen to pushing tea and coffee. She spent fifteen years living in Europe and used that time to explore as many castle ruins, medieval abbeys, and stone circles as possible. Anything ancient, crumbling, or lichened caught her eye. She makes annual visits to Scotland, insisting they are a necessity as each trip gives her inspiration for new books.

Proud of her own Hebridean ancestry, she belongs to two clan societies: the MacFie Clan Society and the Clan MacAlpine Society. In addition to Scotland, her greatest passions are medieval history, the paranormal, and dogs. She never watches television, loves haggis, and writes at a four-hundred-and-fifty year old desk that once stood in a Bavarian castle.

Sue-Ellen is married and currently resides with her husband and Jack Russell Terrier in Florida. Readers can learn more about her and the world of her books at: www.welfonder.com.

Deemed Master of the Highlands by the beautiful Madeline, Iain MacLean felt he was really the lord of nothing. Iain had always shunned the talk of the magic of the Highlands, people endowed with special magical gifts/or curses as they may think of them, and he certainly didn’t ascribe to the “MacLean Curse”. An extremely emotionally powerful and passionate romance. If this intensely sensual, dark and brooding Highlander doesn’t steal your heart, with his sexy ways, you might be comatose. He invaded Madeline’s dreams long before they found one another, in a most unusual place, which inspires you to just keep turning page after page until then. A fascinating Scottish Roman that will steal your heart.

Iain MacLean's one~year guilt~ridden angst over the death of his wife ends with the accidental burning and destruction of the pride of the MacLeans' chapel. Donall MacLean, Iain's Laird and older brother, decided to send him on a pilgrimage to Dulkeld Cathedral (bringing with him gifts of religious items including the MacLean Treasure from the Holy Land said to be part of Christ's cross as atonement) and to pay homage to every shrine, church and relic along the way as penance for burning God's House as well as consider himself banished from the Clan until such time as he can control his temper (for which the whole clan has been subjected to suffer along side his own torments). While on his penitent way, he met the/his Bane of the MacLeans' ~ the one woman that every male MacLean is destined to be his soulmate (apparently Lileas was not his Bane). The author has combined Magic and Romance in such an interesting, humorous and captivating way. She is also one of the best of this genre.

I do love this author’s books

Definite 5 stars. I caught a ride at first of story and had to hang on tight for complete trip. I liked both hero and heroine very much. It had intrigue, mystery, romance, and a little spice. It is the relationship of two people developing into romance. It had villains to hate and wish to receive their demise. I didn’t want to put it down, had to see What happened next. I did enjoy all the way through. Loved the HEA. I so recommend as I do all her books. Cancel wait to start next one.

A beautiful story of love, lost and found by a couple, time after time through the ages. A love for those destined to be true loves from one lifetime to another.

Madeline Drummond has a plan. Murder the man that killed her father and make atonement for her sin by living her life rest of her life as a nun. Of course, she has to actually get to the man she believes killed her father, but she finds that she is being drawn to a shadow man in her dreams.

Iain MacLean is at the lowest point a man can get. Now forced to travel and make atonement to his laird and family, he is tasked with a holy journey. But the he finds Madeline, and his Bane is now upon him. The Legend is true, and he has found his one true love, but he still has to get past the shadows of his past. And then win the heart of his Madeline and bring her home.

A nice story.

This is an enjoyable story in the Scottish Highlands. An easy read, a good mystery and as usual a love story. Fun to read on a cold night in front of the fire.
