The Inferno struck without warning, but Draco Dante had no complaints. For his family's legacy drew him to Shayla Charleston, a mysterious beauty who ignited his blood. Soon he had her in his bed…and just as quickly she was gone.
After months of searching, Draco finally found the woman who was his destiny…the woman who was about to bear his child. But secrets began to rise, and Draco was torn between past strife with their families, and a future with his wife and son. Could Draco trust she shared their Inferno bond? Or had Shayla agreed to their marriage pact for an entirely different reason?
I love family first and foremost, which is why writing family sagas and stories that involve family is so much fun. Maybe you can tell that from my books since they always feature the warmth and joy and ridiculousness that comes from having a close-knit family.
I also love animals and have taken in rescue dogs and cats and fostered dogs for the local animal shelter.
And of course, I love writing. All I need is a functioning brain (batteries not included), a pen, and paper, and I can write anywhere. Please don’t let a conversation with me lag because my imagination takes over and I. Am. Checked. Out!

Another nice story in the Dante's Inferno story line. This one was pretty believable once you accept the Infernoness of it all. I liked the characters. I especially liked the Grandmother of the heroine. I think the story would have been even better as a full length novel so there would have been room to really expand sections of it that were constrained a bit by the length. It was told almost entirely from the hero's POV and he was a good solid character.
This is one of the better books from DL in this series the Dante legacy. She is swept of her feet by Draco the very hot Dante who feels the inferno for the first time and is forced to admit that it's true. She leaves after they have one night together and he has never stopped looking for her since and she is preggers btw. Such as good story and the coming together after so many issues from the past cloud up everything. Great story I would recommend it.
I've really been enjoying this series. It's been fun watching the men who refuse to believe in the "Inferno" fall hard and fast for their chosen mates. They fight against it, but then at the same time they just can't help but obey the power of it. This book was one of those that I wish I could give more than 5 stars for. There was one part that I especially got a kick out of, but you'll just have to read it for yourselves to find out what that was. I won't tell.
A fast easy read but not enough depth to really wanting to read anymore of the series. This was my first time reading this author. I usually read the first of the series but since this looked interesting I read it first. It looked more interesting than I found it.
Did not like it. It might be because I listened to it on audiobook and the different voices annoyed me. Then again I didn't love the big storyline of "Dante's Inferno". Really disliked that grandma. P.
Whilst Draco hasn’t exactly been a believer in The Inferno, when he feels the sizzling connection between himself and Shayla, he knows he has found his soul mate. Unfortunately she disappears the next day and it takes him months to catch up with her. She is afraid of being trapped in a marriage based on lust and the machinations of her grandmother cause trust issues.
Wow, a lot happened in this book that was caused by a chain reaction.
It starts off on the night before Shayla Charleston's 25 birthday. Shayla meets Draco Dante while at the Dantes' reception where she is trying to spot the Dantes' who will be at the meeting in the morning where she will discuss a business deal. But she is also there for another reason. Before turning 25, Shayla has three things she wants to accomplish. 1. pay back her grandmother the money spent paying for her college education, which if they meeting went well, would do just that. 2. she wants to have the job of her dreams, which she has already lined up and 3. she wants to be swept off her feet and have a night of passion. And that would soon be crossed off too.
Draco Dante never believe in the Inferno legend that his family spoke of. That was until he saw and touched Shayla for the very first time. With just one touch, he knew the Inferno had struck and she was his soul mate. And although she felt the spark that continued to zap through them, she wasn't fully convinced. Yet she allows Draco to become her first.
During the meeting, Shayla reveals their family mines are not played out like originally thought, which lead to the company's downfall, but producing better quality diamonds the their own. Her grandmother is offering to allow the Dantes' to lease out the property. Draco is stunned to learn that after the meeting Shayla has disappeared.
9 months! 9 months is how long it takes for Draco to finally track Shayla down. 9 months to find out she at home with her grandmother in Atlanta. 9 months to find out she's pregnant with his child.
After discovering her grandmother is behind keeping them apart, Draco and Shayla fly back to San Francisco. There they will wed, for Draco knows his grandparents would never forgive him for having a child out of wedlock. Seeing Shayla not 100% for the plan they make a marriage pact. After the baby is born and settled in, if Shayla wants to leave she may.
Soon their son, Stefano, is born and Shayla finds herself settling into her new life. Not feeling the lack of freedom she thought she would from being married to Draco.
But suddenly Draco is questioning her motives when they discover the diamond mine they just bought from her grandmother are indeed played out and useless. After their fight she rushes back to Atlanta to her grandmother and returns with her to San Francisco where the entire story is played out.
Despite their bumpy road, Draco and Shayla find a way to accommodate both their families and come to terms with their feelings.

Or had Shayla agreed to their marriage pact for an entirely different reason? ---------------- This book was an OK read to me. It seems there was a lot going on. First there’s:
Shayla who wants to do three things before she turns 25: 1) pay her grandmother back for the money she spent for her college education, 2) to have the job of her dreams (which she already has lined up), and 3) have a night of passion; which she does with none other than Draco Dante who she meets while attending a Dante’s reception.
Then there’s Draco Dante who was always told by his family of the inferno legend, but he wasn’t sure he believed this legend to be true, that is until he met Shayla.
Finally, there is Shayla’s grandmother who is so filled with hate for the Dante’s (I won’t spoil why she dislikes them so) that she keeps Shayla and Dante apart for 9 months. By the time Dante finds Shayla she is close to giving birth to his child.
Then we are taken on a journey with Draco and Shayla as they get married; after making an agreement (again I won’t spoil the story), have a child, become a family, fight a betrayal, uncover a family secret, and then fall in love again.
As I said in the beginning there was a lot going on in this story. I found the storyline to be just okay. It read well, but it didn’t make me over excited about what was going to happen next.
I'm not sure if I should add one more star or not, but it is definitely 3.5 stars for this book.
I have two previous books of this series that I hadn't read yet, but I know the gist of it. Thus far, "The Inferno" strikes the unsuspecting Dante person, telling that family member that the person s/he is feeling these intense emotions with is the other half of their soul. Basically, one's soul mate.
That said, this is Draco Dante's story. He met his soul mate, Shayla Charleston, at the reception party that his brother, Rafe, met his own soul mate. Draco and Shayla spent an incredible and passionate night together before Shayla had to leave. And Draco found her nearly nine months later...pregnant with his child.
It is the journey towards becoming a couple and as parents that encompasses the story, as well as some past grievances that Shayla's grandmother has with the Dante family that is told in this book. There are some surprises in the end, and the next book will feature Gianna, Draco's sister.
I have enjoyed Ms. Leclaire's books thus far, and I hope to continue reading more of her works in the future.
This series is almost over and we get to see a very strong woman. In the same party Rafe found his Inferno bride we discovered Shayla, and Draco found the women of his life. But things are not that simple and these two suffered a lot before finally love each other.
Shayla was party crashing because she wanted a glimpse of the Dante and the next day she had a business meeting with them, but she also wanted a wild night and to lose her V card since it was her birthday and freedom was her wish. That’s how she met Draco, he was close to the door and the first to see her, but when their touch made sparkles fly neither could escape for the night.
Shayla has a new job and vanished the night after, but Draco never stopped looking for her and we discovered that she was pregnant and her grandmother is pure evil. These two had to overcome lots of issues from both families, especially after they found some secrets from the past.
it's a gud story, nthng not 2 like abt it. it was nice but a bit too nice. i got bored. we're far from Dante's Stolen Wife which is a fav of mine. it was also unbelievable ! a virgin having a 1 night stand wid a man she just met..lol, a stranger no less !! then shayla went from der n got pregnant. they got married becoz she was pregnant but draco n she had known each other only 4 2 days be4 shayla disappeared. not even 2 days infact ! yes i understand, here we have the inferno but i did not feel it. it was not powerful, not like in marco's story, the stolen bride
It seems my local library's digital audiobooks always have the froofy novels available for download, and so far the others that I've found have been tolerable and entertaining. I think it was the narrator's voice (inflections?) that just didn't quite sit well with me. Maybe if I had read it (but then again, I'm not usually one to actually *read* a romance novel so it wouldn't have mattered) I might have liked the book better. The Inferno might as well be said as an imprinting of one's soul mate. Oh, and does every romance novel have a female character aged 25-26?
D2057 Dec10 Dante's Legacy #7 Draco Dante meets his Inferno Bride, Shayla Charleston, at a Dante jewelry showing. She's with him one night and discovers who he is the next morning and disappears. He searches for her and catches up with her at her grandmother's house just days away from delivering his child. Diamonds stolen from Draco years ago, turn up.
Another favorite from the series. I liked Draco and Shayla. They were absolutely perfect for each other. I was over the moon that it was mostly told from Draco's point of view. And I loved seeing the hero pining for the heroine.
