Of all of the crossing worlds, this was a par above and beyond imagination with creativity and descriptive.
I think I've listened to this about five times in the past year and found new tidbits to enjoy each time! (I was sooo hoping Artemis would write a new novel by the time I remembered to "finish" this!)
The characters are well developed throughout and grow as they encounter new dilemmas and characters. It's a very well written book with unique plot, sub plots, and magical system.

This was a good story, great for children and adults alike. There were a few issues with consistency regarding the main character's ability to read people's thoughts or not, and vice versa. Additionally, there was an obvious point of view change that should be fixed. However it was a good book that was enjoyable regardless of these issues. I highly recommend it to any fans of the 10th Kingdom. It's certainly in that vein.
