Little Bird You Are Perfect

Rate this book
For ages 3-9 Little Bird awakens to a perfect day. It is going to be his first real taste of the real world and he is so excited! What he finds during his adventure, is something entirely different. His excitement about his perfect day turns to sadness when he realizes that he is different from all of the other birds he encounters and is reminded of his differences by a group of more grown up birds who tease him. A visit by Native American Sorceress Kanka, changes Little Bird's outlook on himself as he gazes into the pools of her eyes and he sees himself as the Great Spirit sees him, perfect in every way! Just like Little Bird, YOU are perfect too!

This is a really cute book with great illustrations! It has a great message and would be a great book to use in the classroom for Character Counts or for some type of character education. I read it to my daughter and she loved Little Bird! He is very cute!
The book did have a surprising twist for me when it brought in the Native American Character. I wasn't expecting that! I dont want to give too much away to those who havent read it yet.
This is definately a book I will buy for my classroom! Thank You good Reads for chosing me as a winner for this great book! Thank you Shelly Joy for signing my copy!

this book was beautifully written, as a parent of young children the message in the story was one we as parents want/need to give our children daily, my little birds are perfect and along with the inspiring morally sound message i felt my kids connected and understood how special this bird was, like themselves. I also got teary eyed when the little bird looked at the old woman and saw her spirit which was cherishable. I am proud to have won this signed copy and recommend this to all people especially with children.

Great job Shelley Joy and the illustrations were beautiful and colorful as well!
