This children's book is an interesting introduction to techniques artists use/have used to create. In the process one gets introduced to different works of art by a variety of artists. At the bottom of each page is an activity to do using the skill on that page. All in all an interesting book.

Another great simple book that helps you look at art in basic ways. This series is a great way to help remind you to 'see' what art does - in all genres - all the way through the ages. Meant for kids, but adults can get a lot from it too.
