I found this nonfiction cookbook at the house of the girl I watch, and we used it to make a couple things. I would say this book is good for 5-11 year olds. As a recipe book, it has clear pictures, and emphasizes healthy simple recipes that allow a child to understand how to cook, why its important to cook, food safety, and the joy of working to make something and then enjoy it. We had a lot of fun making some of the recipes and learning about fun healthy food options, however, I wish th ebook to be a bit more creative. I remember having a cook book as a child that had stories incorporating the recipes into it, and more creative pictures to go along. Wile easy and approachable, there are definitely better children's cook books out there. This one does the job, though.
