I received this book through Goodread's First Reads. While the story was short, it was also pretty amazing. I read it the day I received it and couldn't put it down. While I was disappointed it wasn't longer, I did enjoy reading it.

Of course, this is short. It's not even a book, it's a short story or novella, if you will. It's also self-published, which makes you groan before even reading it.
So bearing in mind that I had low expectations, I found myself quite surprised. It is a very good story and fairly well written. There were a few minor grammatical errors (mostly leaving out quotation marks) and some of the dialogue was a bit awkward, but it's nothing a go ...more

This was a quick read as it is a novella of 70-something pages. It's my understanding that it is to be a part of a series which I think would be interesting to read the next part.
This isn't my 'typical' choice of book plot line - dealing with real life colliding with the 'supernatural'. Regardless, I liked it. The story was good and it was very well written, and I would recommend it. I would also read the next part in the series if it is released. Overall, I would give this a solid 3.5 stars for ...more
