World War 2 veteran, Robert Honeycutt, tells of his experiences in combat and as a prisoner of war who was forced to endure the little known 86-day "death march" from Stalag Luft IV in northern Poland. Themes of survival, kinship, freedom and grace are woven throughout this historical narrative with the assistance of cancer nurse and friend, Jane Littlejohn.
