Addison Fox can’t remember a time when words weren’t a part of her life. In addition to being an avid reader, she loves writing novels about strong-willed and exciting heroes and heroines – individuals who are meant for each other and who deserve their happy ever after. After she makes them work for it, of course!
First published in 2010, Addison has written across romance genres including paranormal, contemporary and romantic suspense. A romantic at heart, she’ll take her heroes any way she can get them – from ancient warriors to computer geeks to sexy cowboys. She’s not picky - but she is deeply grateful her readers are willing to come along for the ride.
The third in the Sons of the Zodiac series, Warrior Betrayed follows the Tarus warrior Quinn falling in love with a multibillioniare heiress Montana Grant, who unbeknownst to her, is head of a very dirty shipping company thanks to her daddy.
And thanks to her mum, Montana is destined to be the next Greek goddess of peace.
See, what a lot of folks don't know apparently, is that when Zeus married his first wife Themis, goddess of justice, they actually had several children together. The Moirai also known as the Fates: Clotho who weaves the life of all things, Lachesis who measures the lifespan, and Atropos who cuts the thread of life when the creature is to die. But less known to the modern world are their sisters the Horae, goddess of natural justice and the natural hours of time: Eunomia the goddess of lawfulness, Diké the goddess of right, and Eirene the goddess of peace.
Eirene was the goddess of peace before she chose to leave Olympus and immortality behind when she fell in love with Montana's father. Themis let her go, but told Eirene that she would have Eirene's daughter as the next goddess of peace.
So Eirene is mortal, and now she's dying. When she's gone, Montana is due to become the next goddess of peace. But she needs to live that long.
Montana's father died a few months before the story starts, and it is Montana's plan to take the company public, which will benefit everyone. Well, everyone who doesn't have an interest in keeping the company and their shady back room dealings private. And of course one of these people happen to be a fallen Taurus warrior.
And you can't get mad at me for 'spoiling' that part. It's introduced like 2/3 chapters in. The big thing is the 'why' behind his motivations, and that doesn't come out until much later on. Hint: Not what you think.
Anyways, so Montana is dodging all these attacks on her life, And Quinn happens to be along for the ride, trying to keep her safe. They fall in love of course along the way, because lets face it ladies. It's kinda hard to not fall in love with a gorgeous man who's saving your life every time you turn around.
Warrior Betrayed also deals with the fall out from the previous book, when Quinn refused to help his Warrior brother Kane help his lady love Ilsa. It has understandably caused some tension which is dealt with here, and thankfully most of it is on Quinn's side. He was just worrying too much.
It's also interesting to see the transformation with Montana from mortal to immortal. The leading lady from the first book Warrior Ascended Ava became an immortal at the very end, when Themis was basically so proud of Ava's sacrifice that she brought Ava back from the dead as an immortal with all the powers that come with it.
The thing is, it's a sudden transformation, and we don't see the aftermath of her learning all about her new abilities and how to use and control them. Here with Montana, we do. It's only when Eirene dies that Montana can become the next goddess of peace, and Eirene is dying, so slowly Montana is gaining all these abilities and powers that come with being immortal, one at a time and learning as she gains them how to use and control them. I liked that.
It took a little bit longer for the characters to get together here, but I think that's only natural. Kinda hard to jump into bed with a guy, no matter how hot he is, when you learn that all these myths are actually reality and you're turning into one.
The biggest thing is the title. Didn't quite get it. So far Addison Fox has had a theme with all her titles matching something of the plot. In Warrior Ascended, it was Ava who ascended to the status of a warrior. In Warrior Avenged, Kane was finally able to take out the sorcerer who curse him millennium ago. Even the next book coming, Warrior Enchanted makes sense. Granted I haven't read it but if I'm right one of the Warriors falls in love with a witch who lives next door.
But in Warrior Betrayed...who was betrayed? I guess you could say Montana was betrayed by the fallen Taurus warrior, or that the Warriors as a brotherhood were betrayed by their fallen comrade, but it just doesn't make sense. There is no one things that you can point to in this book and go 'AHA! There's the title!'
There's also a nice little showdown between Enyo and Themis, where Enyo runs away with her tail between her legs, and we see the leading ladies of two later books set up here: Callie and Enyo's sister Eris, the goddess of strife. Not sure when they'll show up, or who they'll get in the end, but it will be interesting to see.
This series has really gone uphill from the first one. It just seems to get better and better. I can't wait for the fourth one Warrior Enchanted to come out later this year.

I read and really enjoyed the first book in the Sons of the Zodiac series, but I only quite liked the second book so I wanted to give Warrior Betrayed the third book a try. Warrior Betrayed felt a little different to me compared to the previous two books in the Sons of the Zodiac series so far. I enjoyed the twist with Montana, her Mother Eirene and Themis it added an interesting extra oomph to the overall storyline with Themis and made me like her more than I originally did. I really liked Montana I thought she was truly lovely and written brilliantly within Warrior Betrayed. However, I wasn’t awfully keen on Quinn but I think you’re not meant to love him as he’s meant to have similar character traits as a bull, which is his zodiac sign and therefore he can be a bit... bull-headed, shall we say and I felt it was a bit repetitive at times with his behaviour and his feelings of guilt from the previous book Warrior Avenged, with Kane and Ilsa. It was however, the secondary character’s that happily made Warrior Betrayed something extra special for me. In comparison to the first book the group of Zodiac Warriors have become much closer and seem to be more of a family unit now with the mixture of women within the group, which I’m really loving. There are of course, certain character’s I want to know more about, Callie who’s there ‘housekeeper’ is seriously interesting and I’ve been waiting since the first book to know more about her and I enjoy the titbits we’re given about her. The other character is Rogan, who we don’t really know much about but I was rather intrigued by him so I hope to learn more about him. The villain of Warrior Betrayed was Arturo Veron and it was along the lines of ‘these tangled webs’ of villainy which I liked but was a bit anti-climatic at the end. However, with Arturo being the main villain there wasn’t much time for Enyo, the goddess of War, who’s the main Zodiac Warriors nemesis but she did make a few appearances but it didn’t really work for me and I’m already feeling a little bored of Enyo which is a little sad as this was only book three.
Favourite Quotes: “Sensual and unerringly faithful, my Taurus will cherish the woman who wins his stubborn heart. For the woman who can capture him – with a heart even bigger than his – will know a love for the ages...”
“I think someone is trying to kill you, Ms. Grant.”
Montana leaned forward, one hand flicking at the studs of his tuxedo shirt. “I love a man of action. What did you have in mind before we leave?”
“In that moment, all he wanted was to show her how much he cared. How safe and protected she was.”
Overall, I really liked Warrior Betrayed, it was a different and interesting storyline in the Sons of the Zodiac series and I plan to read at least the next two books in the series before I decide to give up on this series altogether.
Warrior Betrayed by Addison Fox Paranormal Romance –May 3rd, 2011 4 stars
Warrior Betrayed is another fascinating paranormal in the author’s Zodiac series - Hot heroes aligned with the Goddess Themis to fight against the evil Goddess Enyo to save humanity. The third in the series, it can easily be read by itself but would be better appreciated having read at least the first book to understand the origins and struggle between the two Goddesses.
This story starts out with a bang as Eirene, the Goddess of Peace, gives up her immortality to love a rich human named Jack Grant. But their relationship does not last long and Eirene soon leaves him and her daughter. A daughter destined to take her place.
Montana Grant is rich and successful but her life is in danger and there is only one man who can save her, the powerful warrior Quinn Tanner. As a Zodiac warrior, he fights to prevent her from falling into the Goddess Enyo’s clutches. But will a suspicious Montana accept his aid especially when she learns who he really is?
The author mainly focuses on the relationship between the hero and heroine for most of the storyline and less on some of the paranormal aspects of the storyline. I felt this was a bit of a shame because all the Goddesses really fascinate me and I would liked to have more scenes with them. Even the villainess Enyo is interesting with her evil manipulations. I particularly wanted to learn more about Montana’s mother, Eirene, the Goddess of Peace. But overall, this was a solid romance with two well-matched main characters. I particularly liked Quinn, who was the ultimate warrior. He is any woman’s dream ‘bodyguard.’
An absorbing paranormal series filled with combating Goddesses. This was and exciting reading that fans will enjoy.

Ahhh Quinn and Montana. I loved Quinn. Loved all that self anger. He was so yummy. lol Montana was pretty cool too. Thankfully even though she is an Heiress she wasn't stuck up and snotty. They had great chemistry from the beginning but didn't act on it right away. Montana has someone trying to kill her, her mom is flighty and homeless, Oh yeah and she keeps talking about the Goddess Themis. Quinn thinks Montana is as dirty as her dad and vows to protect her so that he can get to the bottom of what is really going on. Overall this was really good. A little different from the other ones for me.
I was so so sad by what happened about half way through . I mean that was just messed up. Why did that have to happen? I liked this person. Ugh.. I really like that Themis had shown that she has some flaws. I mean she is the Goddess of Justice, but girlfriend screwed up and did something out of anger. Enyo was the snot nosed beast she always is. But her sister Eris was in this one and I liked her. In fact I hope there is more of her. Maybe she will hook up with one of the warriors. (Hint Hint)...
Ok so since I am an Aries , when oh when will Grey's book be??? Come on , please!!!! Oh and the quite and mysterious Rogan was introduced. Oh baby I want more of him! I loved this series . Once I got into it I feel completely invested in all the characters and want to know more.
Warrior Betrayed is the third installment of the Sons of the Zodiac books and is well worth the read.
In this installment we become closer to Quinn Tanner who is the Tauras Warrior and we have meet in previous books - Warrior Assended & Warrior Avenged. We all fall in love Quinn as he struggles with his very nature and his guilt over not helping those out in need.
Then we meet Montanna Grant. A CEO of a multibillion dollar company who someone is trying to kill and we soon learn who is the next in line to be a peacekeeper of Themsis.
We soon see Quinn as the protector of Montanna as she struggles with someone trying to kill her and the new immortality she is developing but doesn't know why.
We see the couple finds attraction and things all start to move forward and then love seems to bloom between the two.
I greatly enjoyed this book as with the other Sons of the Zodiac it is a compelling and easy read.
Quinn has issues and guilt. Montana has her own set of baggage. But they are good together. They have a quiet sort of passion, and a few hot sex scenes, but not to much to bog the story down. Quinn comes across Montana by accident while watching for excessive paranormal activity. When he sees she is being stalked and in danger, he takes her case to protect her. But falling for her was not what he expected and didn't know he really needed to complete his exsistence. I really liked this couple and their journey, and even though I think the ending was a little abrubt, it was still a great story. A lot more Greek Mythology plays out in this story and that's what drew me to this series to start with. Enyo is up to her usual drama, trying to hurt Themis. A few more Warriors show up in this series and I can't wait to see who is next. Start at the beginning and give it a chance, its a great read.
This is the first fiction book I have mangaed to read in 5 months of maternity leave. It is book 3 in a series but I was desperate to read something so I picked it out of the shlef. I haven't read the first two books yet but after reading this one i know I am going to hunt them down. There are hardly any spoilers and I don't know what happened to the other characters. The writing style was clear and fast paced. The storyline was clever and I liked how the author didn't used all the major well known players of the Greek Panthenon of Gods/Goddesses. The use of the Zodiac was well done and I really enjoed this book. Definatly worth a read!
The interaction and attraction between Montana and Quinn is palatable. They are so perfect for each other, understanding even when they are frustrated. I love the world Addison Fox has created, each Warrior is so strong in his own way and even when Quinn is "bull headed" you cannot help but still admire his character. I was hooked from the first book and cannot wait for more of this series. Fox is able to continue the surprises with each book...just when you think you know who is behind all of the destruction, you find out you are wrong.
Well as usual after I finish one of these book I fall in love with the characters. Brody, Kane and now Quinn. I can't wait to see who is next and how they getr together. That is one of my favorite things is seeing how they meet and how the male sticks his foot in his mouth and how the female put them in their place. Last but not least the happy ending that I am a sucker for.
Another fabulous book by Addison Fox. Her Zodiac Warriors hit all the right buttons. Her hard-headed Taurus is the quintessential bull, and watching his inflexiblity take hit after hit until he who is always certain spins in circles is great fun!
Finally an author like JR Ward - I couldn't put this book down and had to buy the other two. Please write more. Loved every aspect of this book and espeically the fact you do multiple POV.
One of my favorites so far from this series. I wasn't sure if I'd like Quinn's story, but I did. And it made me love his character even more. Great series.
