"Evocative, erotic . . . a sensual treat!"-- SYLVIA DAY, #1 New York Times bestselling author.

Inspired by the tale of Cinderella, an erotically charged historical romance that offers a glass slipper, a dangerous deception, and an impoverished beauty determined to find her handsome prince...and make him pay.

4 Cinderella Gone Naughty Stars

You know how Cinderella is this teenage, innocent, loving girl? Well, you ain't gonna find that one here. Sabine is a girl who had to leave her rose-colored glasses behind when her family lost everything. Now she is ready to steal her way back to a decent way of living. And if her boundy comes from Jules de Moutier's treasure then all the better. His family is after all to blame for her current predicament. Still, Jules is just as tempting as ever... Especially for

As a lover of fairytales and a true romantic at heart, I was very excited to discover this book, a re-telling of Cinderella. But not just ANY retelling. An EROTIC retelling. ;-) Because as much as I love a romantic story, I love an erotic one even more. *big grin*

On both counts, “A Midnight Dance” did not disappoint.

The story had some elements of Cinderella, but didn’t follow the traditional story exactly, but that’s ok. It was a wonderful story, an

"She was so many different types of women. The alluring camp follower. The damsel in distress. The bashful ingenue. And he wanted to fuck them all."

The first hundred pages or so will cure you of any sexual dry spells you may be experiencing.

A virgin miss enters a camp full of men in seventeenth century France in order to drug them all with laced wine. She is willing to offer her ‘services’ to their leader, but has no intention of following through on her offer. You see, Sabine Laurent is intent

I loved A MIDNIGHT DANCE! What a fiery, passionate cocktail from the doyenne of lush sensuality, Lila DiPasqua.

I like Sabine…intelligent, brave and fiercely loyal to her remaining family and her little group of theatrical friends. I really felt her grief and pain for all she had lost…

Each day she went through the motions of living, unable to mourn her sister. Simply surviving, more dead than alive. She’d forgotten how to feel. She didn’t even want to.

This book blew me away. The romance, smokin hot loves scenes and intrigue kept me turning the pages and reading into the middle of the night. I loved the banter between Sabine and tall, seriously sexy Jules. The sparks between them fly in such a fun way and the chemistry really sizzles. (As for the love scene in the forest in the middle of the book---I'll have what she's having, please!) The plot is exciting, the characters are entertaining, and the passion is purely delicious. This was the first book of Lila's that I read and I truly enjoyed it.

The story was very good, grabbing me from beginning to end.

The characters were well done. I loved watching how the H&h came to understand what the other felt and how they eventually fell in love.

This was a very sensual read with very HOT love scenes. It also had a bit of angst to the story too.

Dear Lila DiPasqua,
Please package this book with a cold water bottle so that I can pour it down my shirt while reading.

OMG y'all. This book is HOT, HOT, HOT. I can hear Charles Perrault turning in his grave. Good heavens! Like Sabine trying to describe the hotness of Jules while he was bathing, there are no adequate words to describe this book. Like Jules reading the first sentence of Sabine's journal, I was ensnared. Like the chemistry

Well, well...what a delight spin on Cinderella by Ms. DiPasqua. This was a true historical romance that was naughty with a bit of erotic mixed in. It didn't hurt that the H was a very handsome rogue in his own right.

The story was well-written and descriptive right from the start. No slow going on any tension play betwen the H/h as in most novels I've read. This was a wonderful, steamy and hot story with a beautiful HEA.

Hmm, steamy retelling of one of my favorite fairy tales, Cinderella...check! I have been eagerly waiting for Lila DiPasquas newest Fiery Tales to come out and I was surprised when my library notified me that it was in already, last Friday, four days before it was supposed to come out. Naturally, I hurried over to check it out and then proceeded to devour it over the weekend. Did it live up to the high hopes I had for it? Absolutely.

I expected this book to have a Cinderella type of plot but it didn't. It was an original story, nothing to swoon about but very entertaining, well done with a lot of action. I'll read more from this author.

This was an intriguing story with great attention to historical detail. I appreciated the plot twists and descriptive imagery. The things I wasn't crazy about were the many sex scenes in the beginning which seemed to slow the pace, and the strong sexual language, which after a while was off-putting. I did like how the romance developed as the story progressed though and was glad that it wasn't just one sex scene after another.

One of the reasons I love historical romance fiction is because I learn so much about the past. As a young teenager, I fell in love with the Regency period…and then the Middle Ages…and just about every time period I read. Reading Historical romance novels had such an impact on my life that I ended up taking my undergraduate degree in history.
What I really enjoyed about this book was the historical information. The story takes place entirely in France in the mid 1600s. The Fronde has taken Franc

A Midnight Dance by Lila DiPasqua is an erotic retelling of the historic fairy tale Cinderella. This book should appeal to all of Ms. DiPasqua’s current fans as well as anyone who enjoys their historical romance with a healthy dose of HOT sensuality.

I have been looking forward to reading this book for quite some time and it has been well worth the wait! I truly fell in love with Sabine and Jules. Of course there were a few hiccups along the way but I was thrilled with how they ended up.

This is book 3 in the Fiery Tales series.

The daughter of a wealthy theater owner, Sabine Laurent grew up seeing royalty and dreaming of her own prince charming. But when they fall from grace, she must do whatever she must to provide food and shelter for her family. As a distraction, Sabine end up playing a prostitute so that her cousins can steal a hoard of silver. She didn't count on her mark being the handsome prince from her childhood.

Cinderella-inspired (but not in any way similar to it, only certain elements) romance! I'm super excited to finally read a full length novel from this author as I have become a fan of hers since the first book of the series!

It's slightly less erotic than the previous two books but the effect is still the same. There is major chemistry between the main characters both of which were well developed. Awesome addition to the series. I will most likely reread in the future.

What can I say about this book other than I loved it. Lila DiPasqua is becoming one of my favorite authors. This book was steamy and the hero is one hunk I will never forget. Jules, the hero can only be described as Hot, Sexy, Witty, Sexy, Hot, and did I mention Sexy. I literally break out into a sweat just thinking about him. He is my new hero! I want Him!!!!

I've been dying for this author to write a full length novel, considering with what she could do with a novella (The Lovely Duckling is my favorite from The Princess in His Bed), I had very high expectations, and for the most part A Midnight Dance lived up to those expectations. It was captivating from the very first page. You could feel and understand Sabine's desperation to provide for her family and find her sister. Her determination to do whatever it takes, the courage to go through with her ...more

A Midnight Dance put me in a difficult position when it came time to write a review. On the one hand, the plot and execution of it was awesome! There were elements of mystery, danger, passion, angst and adventure. I loved the hotter than hot retelling of the classic fairytale, Cinderella because it wasn’t a play-by-play of the story most people know. A

’ve been a fan of Lila DiPasqua since I started reading her anthologies based on fairy tales that have a nice erotic twist to them. A Midnight Dance is her first full length loosely based on Cinderella. This takes place in 1658 on the outskirts of Paris, France. Our Cinderella is Sabine Laurent, whose father once owned a grand theater. Sabine and her twin sister, Isabelle used to watch from the wings of the stage. During that time, the young Sabine developed a crush on Jules de Mouiter. She nick ...more

Originally published in 2011, this reissue has a spanking new hot cover. Unfortunately, I was disappointed with it. I don’t know exactly what I was expecting but this one left a lot to be desired. I’m new to Lila DiPasqua books, so I’m not familiar with her style but it just didn’t do it for me. I didn’t particularly like how the storyline and how things played out, the characters rubbed me the wrong way; Jules was pretty much a bastard, and the villain seemed to come out of nowhere w

Ok, right off the bat I have to get something off of my chest that really annoyed me about this book, hence the drop to 4 stars.

The back states that the author took insperation from the story Cinderella... Apart from a few references Glass Slippers, stepmother and two stepsisters (who are not all that wicked nor horrid) a ball, and an unpredictable 'fairy godmother' who helps our heroine it was nothing like Cinderlla and it really annoyed me.

I have read Eloisa James A Kiss at Midnight, which al

Wowsa!! The plotting and sub-plotting in this book had me whirling - in a good way. This is an historical romance and kind of a backwards Cinderella tale that takes place just after The Fronde (the nobility uprising against the boy King Louis XIV that ended in 1653). It is full of adventure. We have aristocrat brothers fighting to regain their lost title and wealth, a quirky commoner family waging a fiesty battle for their lost lands, twin sisters lost to each other, and a searingly passionate a ...more
OMG! This book was so good. I can't believe that ending!! The chemistry between Sabine and Jules is HOT HOT HOT! I loved the H and h in this! Sabine was spunk, gutsy and loyal. And Jules was sexy as hell and I love it that despite their different social classes, he came to her aid in the prologue. He came to her aid when she showed up at his camp years later not knowing she was there to steal from him. And he helped her even AFTER she tried to steal from him (but failed in her first attempt). My God, Lila DiPasqua never stops creating magical and sensual historical romance stories!!! I absolutely LOVE LOVE LOVE this Cinderella retelling by her. It's witty, erotic, enthralling and addictive like her other work I have read. "A Midnight Dance" has everything I yearn to read in a mind-blowing romance novel: a great plot, great characters, great chemistry between the two main protagonists and a trickery storyline filled with conspiracy and evil people to keep the readers reading when the ...more
