And in the end... "the world suffered through great losses of life, plagues, pestilence, famines and heartache, more than it had ever known in modern world, but through the pain, the Earth was purged of much of its anger and hatred. Those who were once starving and the underprivileged, led the world on a new path of learning how to live in harmony with the Earth. Once again, the old ways of farming and making the necessities of life began to be taught. A great deal of technology had been lost in ...more

When you start off a book talking about Atlantis, the Philadelphia Experiment and Flight 19 you know you're going to have an interested story.

Two guys are studying the Bermuda Triangle, searching for places of unusual electromagnetic activity. To that you add one beautiful woman who ends up being two beautiful women, one a murderer and one not.

Then add a massive coronal ejection, massive EMP bursts that severely damage the U.S. and a hidden base that uses technology from the past to try to help

After reading the reviews of this book I thought it would be pretty spectacular but I found it seriously wanting. The characters are wooden, the plot jumps from high science to very dubious romance(which I realize is on purpose for some of the characters) with very little development of the characters other than this one is super brilliant, the next one is devastatingly beautiful and mysterious the side-kick for the brilliant scientist has so many flaws at first I was left to wonder if that was ...more

Enjoyable, entertaining read which combined the threads of Atlantis, The Bermuda Triangle and Mayan prophecies all into one compelling storyline. Well developed characters interact and form relationships with one another. The storyline had an ample amount of technology and scientific details. Could still use more editing, especially toward the end of the book. All in all, a great read !

A geeky guilty pleasure. Enjoyed the explorations in physics, electromagnetic properties and space-time speculations (reminiscent of LOST), as well as the surprisingly few allusions to Atlantis and the Mayan prophecies given the title of the book, but the cheesy, highly undeveloped and unnecessary love story totally annoyed me.

The story was good. However, she used the conversations of her characters to go into lengthy explanations of the science. This slowed the story down.
