Vanessa and Nick were fun. Ending felt rushed though.

I received this book from eBook Discovery in exchange for an honest review. It was a good romantic thriller with a strong love thread. The heroine was strong and the villain was not revealed until the very end. Good read.

I liked the idea of this plot and that is what made me want to read it. Both Nick and Vanessa were interesting people and were set up in an awkward situation. So you can understand why they did a lot of dancing around each other. They each had their own focus and their own purpose in this charade. They just weren't sure of each other and how far or if they could extend trust. Vanessa was quite the experienced undercover agent even though she was tiring of it. She had a nickname, The Confessor an ...more

This is a fascinating story, we meet Vanessa and Nick, who each have some issues trusting people. They are together because she is a government agent impersonating his fiancee, and his late brother is accused of supporting terrorism. The story unfolds fairly quickly, they get to know each other, and we get to know them. I was fully engrossed pretty quickly, the story is well told and I really understood why they fell in love. Vanessa finds information that may help the Special Forces soldier rec ...more

There is something about this book that completely took me over when I turned to the first page with a fast-paced romantic suspenseful plot centering around Vanessa Wade, a DARK undercover expert and sexy tycoon Nick Markos, who inherited the burden and shame of his brother's dealings with terrorists. I just couldn't turn the pages fast enough to see what would happen next. Susan Vaughan never disappoints and I look forward to more from this talented author. I voluntarily reviewed a complimentar ...more

Fast paced book to keep you up past your bedtime. Handsome Greek tycoon. Undercover agent. Simmering sexual tension. Great minor characters. Twisty turning plot. Malicious villains. Great romantic suspense. Can't ask for much more. I received a free copy of this book in exchange for an honest review.

Brother's Keeper

This is the second book in the series and I really am enjoying them. The good, bad and the ugly describes the characters and the mystery keeps you guessing. Be prepared to read uninterrupted as the suspense and intrigue will keep you rooted to your seat ~

I wanted to write as soon as I learned to read. I dabbled with stories and poems for years, but didn't start writing seriously until many years later. My favorite books have always been mysteries and romances, so the mix in romantic suspense was a natural. I love writing romantic suspense because it throws the hero and heroine together under extraordinary circumstances and pits them against a clev ...more
