At the very least, this book is VERY thought provoking. The main thesis of the book is that masturbation is a wisdom issue, not a sin issue in and of itself. This means that masturbation may be sin to some and not others.
When I began reading, I very much fell in the camp of thinking "of course it's a sin!" But as I read on, I understand how the could be, for some, a wisdom issue, with limited freedom included.

I recommend this book to Christians and people following other religions, especially those who are from a conservative background. I don't know how much sex education other Chinese parents give to their children but in my family, there's almost none (praise God for the Internet...cough cough). This book liberates me from feeling guilty and ungodly about having sexual desires and masturbating. Not all sexuality is dirty. This book approaches an awkward topic from many perspectives. It brings up many blacks and whites, then mixes them up with unanswered questions, and leaves the reader in the gray. I wouldn't freely recommend it because it takes a very spiritually mature reader to navigate through this topic without losing the anchor of truth, especially with a topic that can lead to the serious consequences of sexual sin. ...more

Let's be Honest, Every Guy struggles with it. My friend and I read this book and had a pretty interesting conversations. We kinda did a discussion after we both finished the book. She said some things and I said some things but we never finished our discussion. The only reason I would recommend this book is because there are some very interesting views about masterbation.
