It was awfully sappy and a bit disappointing compared to Joen's Duology, "Twighlight of the Gods." While I was disappointed in this as it was more romance than action, I felt like he did a good job portraying many aspects of WWII accurately. The story wasn't bad, but I didn't feel that it was as engaging as I had hoped it would be. I suspect that female readers might be more intrigued by it than I was.
