On my first date with my husband we folded origami. I've folded a thousand cranes for a best friend. I like to go to the World Trade Center here in PDX when the Japanese students fold/teach origami designs for the public. For some reason though (I think it is a left- handed thing) I have never been able to follow origami instructions. I have to be shown and then memorize the folds. The instructions are presented in an easy to follow format, and like Sok Song's personality in the book, they come off as just as charming. Some of my new favourite folding patterns have been found here. This was an all around enjoyable read, especially for being an instructional book.

The origami projects range from classic square paper projects to larger and odd sized paper projects. The patterns themselves vary from animals to boxes to modular to jewellery and fashion. There is something here
