Illustrations are nice. Photos are wonderfully. The taking the reader though a day with horses was a good additional.

However, there are factual mistakes in the first section dealing with the history of horses.

I chose My First Book of Horses because it gives a history of horses and the roles they have played throughout history. The book also guides the reader through the commitment of owning a horse. It also has a full glossary of horse and horse related terms, it also details horse equipment.

Twin Text: The lost and found pony by Tracy Dockray

I chose this book because it is a touching story of a girl finding her pony after her parents sold the pony because she had out grown him. I like how it ties into the commitment of owning a horse that was covered in the non-fiction choice.

Pradedu įgyvendinti savo seną svajonę - jodinėti žirgu! Bibliotekoje rinkausi knygas ir akis užkliuvo už šios, pagalvojau, kad labai laiku. Žinoma, ji skirta vaikams, dar tik pradedantiems susipažinti su žirgu ir jo priežiūra, bet, savotiškai, aš taip pat esu kaip vaikas, man viskas nauja ir įdomu. Esu visiškai žalia, bet nieko, netrukus tai pasikeis. :)
Knyga labai gražiai iliustruota, informacija trumpa ir aiški, nors jos mažoka. Knyga pirmą kartą išleista 2005 m., tad galbūt kai kuri informacija gali būti senstelėjusi, nors čia pateikiami tik patys pagrindai, todėl tokios info - labai mažai.
Skaityti buvo smagu, suteikė gerų emocijų, tad ir skiriu 5 žvaigždutes.
