As the mother of twin twelve year old girls, I was told to read this book cover to cover by a member of NELMS. I wish I could remember her name to thank her. If you get nothing out of this book but one thing...know you are not alone. I personally got much more than that but it was certainly justifying. I love the "dock" analogy he uses throughout the book. As my girls are about to leave the dock for unsteady waters of the boat (high school). I feel a little more prepared and not so frightened myself! Nice, quick, light read!

2008- Eh, just okay. He kind of beats you over the head with the analogy and he writes like he's in middle school.

This was an interesting book from the perspective that every 12 year old is exactly the same more or less. I liked it and learned some things and had a few "that makes sense" moments.
