In Hearts In Atlantis, Stephen King had one of his characters tell a young reader to read some books for the story, some for the language, etc. He said it far better, but the gist of that character's advice was to appreciate different works for different qualities and also to take a chance from time to time on a type of book different from what you usually pick up.
Glad I did with this one :) Getting into this story was a fun surprise. Started reading it on the subway & found myself wanting to finish the story fast. The shifting POVs knocked me out of the story from time to time, but other than that an enjoyable read.
Found an interesting fact near the end of my read too...the back of the book explains that the author is actually 2 authors using a pseudonym.
